All you need is a challenge!

Following hot on the heels of our London visit Margaret Pam and I embarked on a 3 day landscape painting course at the Newlyn School of Art in Cornwall led by Anita Reynolds. As I am still developing my plein-air skills, painting in all weathers on the Cornish cliffs can be daunting at the same time as being exhilarating and inspiring. On this occasion it was certainly both of those things and more!

Sheltering from the wind at Levant Mines gave a new perspective and opened up lots of opportunities for close scrutiny of the remains of the stone walls and structures. Vibrant colours were glowing giving a hot feeling to a cold and windy place!

Eating lunch with the group is fun and gives time for some exchange of ideas.
